Carrie, thank you for this lovely share and look about your studio. It is fun and inspiring to see fellow artists creative spaces. You illustrate and write beautifully too! I look forward to your next newsletter.
I loved everything about this tour! The sections, the book collection, little details (I’m eyeing those window shades)… and wishing I could get away with just one monitor at my computer station (instead of three). Thank you for putting it all together. 😊
Visiting the studios of N.C. Wyeth and Norman Rockwell was an illustrator’s pilgrimage for me as a young art student years ago. O’Keefe’s studio is definitely on my list. Wondering if you have the book, Still Lives by Leslie Williamson? She photographed a few of my favorite studios, including O’Keefe’s, the Wyeths, Morandi.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! There might be a part two, because I keep thinking about other things I want to say/show.
I keep hearing that I should visit the Norman Rockwell studio, and I’ll put N.C. Wyeth on that list as well. I forgot to mention Thomas Hart Benton! His home and studio is in Kansas City, not far from me, and I really loved going there. O’Keefe’s is most definitely worth the trip. It’s located in such beautiful country - you should probably go visit, and while you are there do a Pedal & Paint 😉 I’ll for sure have to check out the book you mentioned - thanks for the recommendation!
I don't have it available, unfortunately. I have wondered if other people might be interested in having one. Maybe I'll make the 2025 version available for purchase!
Thanks for this tour! I love your little wooden shelves. And that calendar! So smart to see the whole year at once (but yes, also horrifying).

Happy creating!
Thanks, Coco!
Will you share the source for your easel? I loved the tour.
